Justice of the Peace

• Witness signatures on documents
• Certify copies of documents (including email attachments and phone messages)
• Take oaths, declarations, affidavits or affirmations

Note: It is important that you do not sign any of your document(s) before you visit a Justice of the Peace. However, you can complete all other details required noting if the document needs to be witnessed, declared or sworn then the Justice of the Peace must complete what is required and must personally see you sign it. If you require certified copies of a document e.g. your driver’s license or passport – you must produce the original and a photocopy to be certified.
